B\u00e4cher wrote as a critic for the Hungarian daily newspaper N\u00e9pszabads\u00e1g. He was not an architecture critic, although his writings were permeated by his thoughts on architecture, while he analyzed the relationship between housing and human. He also published several volumes of short stories and novellas.
