The Hungarian Chamber of Architects and the Association of Hungarian Architects jointly advertise a contest for diploma prizes awarded for professional excellence on a regular basis, year by year now for graduate students majoring in architecture. In 2015 the jury of professionals awarded a total of ten prizes in three categories (architecture and the protection of historic buildings, zone and settlement planning, landscape and garden architecture) after viewing all the 94 plans submitted for this year\u2019s contest. We are hereby presenting two of the winning projects: firstly, the reconstruction concept of the Salg\u00f3 castle in the northern region of Hungary worked out by Norbert Juh\u00e1z and secondly, the scheme submitted by B\u00e1lint Laczk\u00f3-Pet\u0151 for a would-be factory producing timber pellets.<\/p>\n
