Tadao Ando, a most significant and original Japanese architect at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries is one of the earliest representatives of a unique architectural approach and reflection continuing the traditions of Japanese architecture in its modern reinterpretation, in a synthesis with the western tradition. There are five of his buildings (chapel on Mount Rokko, Kobe, 1985\u201386; the church of light, Osaka, 1987\u201389; The Garden of Fine Arts, Kyoto, 1994; Tsikasu Asuka Museum, Osaka, 1991\u201394; Fabrica, Benetton Communication, Art and Design Research Institue, Treviso, 1992) exhibited now with photos and interpretations by architectural historian Klein Rudolf who also explains them with drawings of his own.<\/p>\n
