9th Film Festival of Architecture, 2-5 March 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the ninth time that Contemporary Architecture Centre organised the series of events named Film Festival of Architecture centre, Offering film shows and related events, this programme attracts more and more attention year by year with the topics of the films on architecture. The movies presenting oeuvres made complete recently or surveying the fates of housing estates, one-man tours of exploration, as well as the analysis of large-scale social issues, the selection and variety was wide indeed this year too. The most intense interest evidently followed the oeuvre-portrait film made in 2013 with Zaha Hadid, who passed away last year, including an abundancy of details, as well as a personal intimate confession about how the mathematician woman from Baghdad turned into one of the most prestigious and renowned architect living in London. Otto Frei who died last year too was excellently portrayed by Joshua V. Hassel who directed a portrait-film about him. A separate section of the festival was devoted to films dealing with the contradictions of the heritage of Modernist architecture. This year\u2019s festival was also the first occasion when two feature films as a new genre were included in the programme.<\/p>\n
