One of the half-term design tasks for the 2019 Master Training of Debrecen University was to plan the prison block of the city located in the south-eastern part of the Inner City, next to the Great Railway Station. At the request of the city’s chief architect, students experimented to develop the lot, and focussed on revealing the potential visions of the utilization of the block itself. The list of criteria set for them did not include any functional or utilization restrictions. The plans completed reflect two urbanistic approaches: the demolition of the prison, and the reinterpretation of the existing old buildings. These two behaviours are represented by the designs submitted by T\u00fcnde Zahari and Ang\u00e9la Solt\u00e9sz.<\/p>\n
