The rebirth of the legendary MOM culture house did not only mean the reconstruction of its historic details and the creation of a spatial structure meeting today\u2019s functional requirements: the building has become the focus of the new public space simultaneously adjusting to local events in the past few years and offering a venue for prestigious programmes, conferences, public meetings by which its significance as a cultural centre radiating beyond the borders of Hegyvid\u00e9k (the Highlands). After the excellent reconstruction and the extension of the building keeping in touch with the whole location, the culture house evoking the world of the 1950s received a new context owing to which it has \u201efound its place\u201d to be interpreted as an important relic of a significant period of architectural and cultural history but not as an isolated historic monument.<\/p>\n
