Relaxed compositions typical of Finns and a sight designed from several viewpoints were the key concepts and essential to the free and integral organization of the multifunctional building, Designed independently, it is made up of functional spatial cells loosely associated with each other. Its centre is a terraced concert hall seating 1,700 people embraced by a sunlit ambulatory opening into the auditorium via sound-proof windows. The foyer is accessible via representative stairs fom the street level or from the same level from the direction of the park. The lit-through hall has white-grey calm atmosphere tinted with unusual transparencies: the overlapping shades and movements of the auditorium, the foyer and the outer world enter into transparent interactions. The belongingness of the spatial layers is reinforced by the acoustic wainscotting of the concert hall and the foyer revealing the same texture.

Építészet / architecture: Alaskewicz Richard, Amberla Sofia, Bajsz Edit, Hirsimäki Miikka, Itkonen Tiitta, Jacoby Klaus, Kivistö Marko, Laiho Ola, Lampinen Jonni, Mannberg Mikko, Myyryläinen Aleksi, Narjus Pauno, Nurminen Tiltu, Pulkkinen Mikko, Rautaheimo Veera, Sainio Kari, Savisalo Anniina, Virtanen Juha-Petri, Gerke Markus, Sewón Mikael, Juureva Elina, Kronqvist Philip, Lemmetyinen Tuomas, Sandelin Assi, Rahkonen Kaarina, Vehviläinen Lea, Koskinen Marika, Qvist Marketta, Sederholm Marita, Varho Anu-Annette, Vääräniemi Eila – LPR-architects
Építész munkatársak / assistant architectural design: Henttinen Tomi, Savolainen Kaisa, Vara Jesper – Gravicon ltd, Roman Johan, Upmeier Marcus – Arch+ ltd
Környezettervezési munkatársak / assistant landscape design: Hemgård Gretel, Taipale Tiina – Hemgård ltd
Akusztika / acoustic design: Nagata Acoustics
Statika / structure: Vahanen ltd
Gépészet / HVAC-design: Granlund oy
Villamos tervezés / electrical design: Lausamo oy
Színpadtechnika és világítás / theater technical and lighting design: Heikki Helimäki, Ides Mikko Hausmann

Designers of the new Music Centre in Helsinki used reservedness for the visual organization of the area.
