Ur\u00e1nia National Film Theatre, 12 November<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 12th November, for the 18th time, the most outstanding works of this year were recognised at the Media Architecture Awards Gala at the Ur\u00e1nia National Film Theatre. Founded by \u00c9p\u00edt\u00e9szf\u00f3rum (Architects’ Forum), the Media Architecture Awards are a unique event in that the assessment is open to the public. This year, a total of 76 buildings, 59 plans and 29 built environment projects were submitted, with a family house, a university building, a church, an event hall and an office block competing for the best building of the year title, and four theses and one design competition entry competing for the design award. This year, the jury consisting of the leading Hungarian press representatives and eminent experts in the field, awarded the best building prize to V\u00e1ncza M\u0171vek for the Church of the Holy Trinity in Derekegyh\u00e1za, and the best design prize to L\u00e1szl\u00f3 R\u00e1tg\u00e9ber for his plan to revitalise the row of cellars in Palkonya.<\/p>\n
