Our hospital architectural culture has once again been enriched with a functionally well-conceived, elegantly shaped building that uses the potentials of its surroundings with architectural respect and awareness. The nine-storey building, which dominates the entirety of the existing hospital, has a new, generous main entrance foyer with a strong mass formation, from which both Building A and the new block can be accessed. The ground floor focuses on patient reception and patient management, with the waiting room provides access to surgeries, and the staff restaurant with a warming kitchen on the creek side is accessed from the staff corridor. The basement level of the new building contains linear accelerators, an after loading room and a CT simulator, with a cytosomatic lab joining the daily treatment area. The first and second floors have identical layouts with a central corridor-style ward, mostly with double bathrooms. The third floor has two DSA-angio operating theatres, with the remainder of the floor occupied by an air handling plant. The basic design concepts have been implemented in a sophisticated manner, taking into account modern medical and professional principles, and the conditions for the highest level of care and accommodation of the patients treated here have been created by means of complex accessibility, comfortable and convenient design of the patient rooms, and high-quality equipment of the social rooms.<\/p>\n
