Scientific Data Analysis Methodology Centre and Archives Open Research Data Resource Centre, Miskolc<\/p>\n

Establishing the Scientific Data Analysis Methodology Centre and the Open Research Data Resource Centre at the University of Miskolc, a state-of-the-art knowledge centre of European standards and an associated library and archive base have been completed. The project has created a unique methodological basis for co-operation between an institution of higher education and a public collection at institutional level, and has enabled the interconnection of a wide variety of different academic disciplines and national heritage as sources of educational and scientific data. In 2017, the original library building and the book depository were designated as a protected architectural heritage site and a programme including renovation and extension was also conceived simultaneously. The planning programme consisted of five components: the conversion, renovation and modernisation of the already existing library, archives and museum building; the renovation of the six-storey library warehouse repository; the construction of a modern wing to house the new archives store; the construction of a new office building for the Hungarian National Archives of Borsod-Aba\u00faj-Zempl\u00e9n County; and the creation of a central circulation core facilitating communication among the four buildings.<\/p>\n
