Medieval Church Ruins Restorations Along the ROM Wanderer Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Market \u00c9p\u00edt\u0151 Ltd, one of Hungary’s leading construction companies, found this theme with a good sense of social engagement. It offered its own management and contractor skills to renovate one or two sites a year, selecting medieval village church ruins from every part of the country. The work carried out so far as part of the ROM Wanderer programme is a very promising demonstration of the value of this ambition, but also an important learning experience. The announcement of the ROM Wanderer programme, which was awarded this year by the Hungarian National Committee of ICOMOS, reveals that around 100 sites have been studied in advance by the programme’s organisers. Just as the walls of a medieval church are buildings, stone on stone, so the renewed sites line up in a neat row, all encouraging us to visit them one by one as travellers.<\/p>\n
