In this new series of interviews, the author talks to contemporary architects about design, inspiration, and the possibilities for passing on architectural thinking. The aim here is to get closer to the process by which memory, collaboration, and the use of models mature into a unique signature. In the first interview, Imre Erd\u0151s talks to architect Tam\u00e1s Kar\u00e1csony about his career, his approach to design as such, as well as the challenges of architecture. The interview provides insights into the world of a thoughtful architect through the use of precedents, the master-apprentice relationship, and the issues of imitation and
