{"id":52288,"date":"2026-10-16T19:55:35","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T17:55:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/meonline.hu\/?p=52288"},"modified":"2026-10-16T21:22:58","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T19:22:58","slug":"a-szerves-epiteszet-oktatasa-a-hazai-epiteszeti-felsooktatasi-intezmenyekben","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/meonline.hu\/en\/aktualis\/tema\/a-szerves-epiteszet-oktatasa-a-hazai-epiteszeti-felsooktatasi-intezmenyekben\/","title":{"rendered":"The Organic Architecture in the Hungarian Higher Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Text: <strong>G\u00e1bor Erhardt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several events have been held to mark the 90<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Imre Makovecz&#8217;s birth, presenting various aspects of the oeuvre of Hungary&#8217;s most significant architect of recent times, including his &#8220;teaching activities.&#8221; Fourteen years after Imre Makovecz&#8217;s death, it may be well worth asking this question: To what extent has the Master&#8217;s work been incorporated into Hungarian architectural education? What and how much do students know about it, and how relevant is it to them? There are two places where Hungarian organic architecture, including Makovecz&#8217;s architecture, is present as an independent, so-called elective subject: at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and at the Ybl Mikl\u00f3s Faculty of Architecture at \u00d3buda University. At the former educational institution, on the initiative of department head Antal L\u00e1z\u00e1r, a three-semester course was launched in 2003 under the direct supervision and active participation of Imre Makovecz.
