The interior and exterior spaces of the planned church, the bridges built inside the church, and the saints and damned souls walking on them all come together to represent the world of salvation and judgment for those arriving at the church. At the intersection of the bridges stands Archangel Michael, bearing the face of Christ, the enemy of Satan, who cast the Tempter from the path of man, from the path of ascension and metamorphosis. In Christ, the path leads to the Creator. The planned building is the place for this process. I did not make any compromises. I only had to take into account the given conditions as they are: the floor plan, the walls and the pillars. Since the floor-plan is a symmetrical one, this did not bother me. Two-thirds of the church would be built downwards, just as cells have a corresponding, symmetrical, but not identical \u201calter ego\u201d. Just like a tree which has a crown both above and below. The drama of resurrection, liberation, and the birth of a new heaven and a new earth can only come from love, union, and rebirth from this world and the other world. The nave and the towers are made of glued wood. The roofing is of natural slate. The floor of the nave is polished black granite and a glass expanse serving as a ceiling from below. The cross wall of the crypt, where it borders the undercroft, is covered with mirrors on the inside. I gave the church this name: Church of Saints and the Damned. Inside the three-nave building, consisting of lively forms, balconies and diagonally sloping bridges intersect, on which fallen angels, saints and people appear in the form of sculptures, sinking and rising. Part of the floor of the church is made of glass. The sanctuary and the area in front of it are constructed in the same way as the rest of the church, both upwards and downwards. The opposite of everything is also present everywhere, and at the focal point, in the tower rising above the sanctuary, the Saviour is actually placed at an immeasurable height.<\/p>\n
