The founders of the association sought to transform the impulse behind organic architecture, which had been in existence in Hungary for twenty-five years and was gaining increasing professional and general recognition, into a force that could be passed on and work effectively on a social level. Nowhere else in the modern world has organic architecture developed such a powerful and socially significant school as in Hungary. Although organic architecture is not a style but a question of approach and attitude, this movement has its own characteristics that distinguish it from other organic architectural movements: similar to the nature of Hungarian architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, it is linked to local traditions and the deep layers of folk art. This is an exceptional opportunity to take on the role of a mediator between the past and the future, and at the same time a unique source of inspiration, responsibility, and hope.
