The International VELUX Award 2014 for Students of Architecture wants to encourage and challenge students of architecture to explore the theme of daylight in its widest sense – and to create a deeper understanding of this specific and ever-relevant source of energy and light.<\/p>\n

\u201cLight of Tomorrow\u201d is the overall theme of the award that celebrates and promotes excellence in completed study works from students all over the world. The award seeks to challenge the future of daylight in the built environment with an open-minded and experimental approach. Therefore, the Award seeks to widen the boundaries of daylight in architecture, including aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and the interaction between buildings and environment. <\/p>\n

From 2 September 2013 to 3 March 2014 the International VELUX Award 2014 is open for registration. The global and prestigious Award is organized for the sixth time to challenge students of architecture to explore the theme of daylight in architecture.
\nThe Award is open to any registered student of architecture \u2013 individual or team \u2013 from all over the world. We encourage multi-disciplinary teams including e.g. engineering, design, landscaping, etc. Every student or team of students must register to participate and must be granted submission by a teacher from a school of architecture.<\/p>\n
