The past few years witnessed the realization of two significant investments in landscape architecture in Chile: that of Termas de Puritama and Termas Geometricas. The locations of thermal baths reflect the astonishing geographical variety of the country, ranging from Termas de Puritama built in the Atacama Desert, the driest place in the world to Termas Geometricas, situated in Patagonia, the domain of rich and extensive southern forests and bright lakes. Germán del Sol, the architect of both bath complexes addresses the issues of transforming natural facilities in an ecological way, meeting today’s requirements to make them utilizable.
