The topic of this scheme is a potential utopia of the development of the Ganz district in Józsefváros. This means both functional, urbanistic and social development. The area concerned is a disorganised one isolated from its environment in Budapest, lacking a discourse with the context, which is the reason why many people avoid it. The concept focusses on the preservation of the existing area whilst creating a new vertical urbanistic layer spreading above the existing Ganz zone from which new functions and nexus points will grow out.
