Located near Budapest, in Poplar Residential Community 6,000 square metres have been developed to contain13 single-storey detached family hopuses on a flat terrain between 2017 and 2020. Houses of two typologies, or more precisely, with two different system of dimensions were designed here to create the housing estate which is separated and protected from the public zone with a fence and electric gates, whereas in the park itself there are no fences to separate the houses and the green areas between them from each other. The layout and configuration of the single-storey houses as well as their character is best described in terms of gentle formal connections and repetitions, a system of exits. Their „icon” is the pitched roofed white plastered blocks from which the glass facade articulated on both storeys link the levels on the southern sides of the houses. The slats of the pergola of the northern side of the house have been turned over to the street front, and they form a framework on the ground-floor section of the gabled side. This pergola is not only a garden structure, but also an external driveway, which also provides a natural screen from the direction of the neighbouring houses and their gardens, whilst lending a looser and lighter impression to the architectural composition.
