As a result of revitalization of Podgórska power station buildings, Cracow obtained a multifunctional building that has changed the landscape of Vistula boulevards. Founded by Tadeusz Kantor the Cricoteka is the symbol of artistic search for the individual path to creativity, crossing the border between the actor and the audience, between the creator and the recipient, engages everyone in the collective play. The public space constitutes both the stage and the audience; it is a venue for constant performance. The new building with its total area of 3000 m2 is able to fulfill a broad cultural function (place for artistic events, visual arts exhibitions, theatre performances, concerts, presentations, seminars and workshops) as well as allow for the exhibition of the artistic output of Tadeusz Kantor in all areas of his activity.
