Symbiosis with the far neighbours
Chlorella Pavilion
Concept: Ádám Miklósi
Chlorella is an algae operated portable photo-bioreactor functions as an oxygen bar can be installed on public places. It uses the exhaled CO2 of the visitors and thanks to the photosynthesis it creates oxygen for them in a relaxing athmosphere. The project is inspired by the philosophy of symbiosis and the methodology of the photosynthesis. The essence is the interdependent living when humans breathing oxygen while algaes using the exhaled CO2 and thanks to the photosynthesis converts to oxygen with the sunshine again. The object is meant to be a temple of relaxation during the hectic life. The inside airflow is based on the molar mass circulation, the heavier co2 tends to flow lower. The mixing process of the exhale and fresh oxygen is happening in the centered algae fountain. The algae filled water is circulating in tubes outside in a spiral way in order to maximize the usage of sunshine. The structure is a space frame made of molded beech and covered with a semi-transparent isolating film.
