The large-scale public domain development in Dabas was completed last year. Several public buildings received a facelift, new public domains were created, a liveable inner town was born. In December the new market hall opened its gates as a component of the finishing phase of the project. By carefully designing the environment of the building and
by creating a new urban public domain the market hall is nicely embedded in the existing fabric of the town. Architects interpreted the form of the building as a single-gesture object with an experimenting approach when making its mass. As a result a building was born with an open receptive character which is also playful.
