Chief Architects’ Awards
Professional recognitions are precious gestures. They are valuable for those awarding and receiving them. To express their honour, chief architects in Hungary decided to reward those chief architects whose remarkable activities are exemplary for both their fellows and everyone working in the field of architecture in the widest sense of the word, proving that those living their trade as a profession are capable of achieving high-standard results with humbleness, perseverance and unselfishness even in the present-day world. In 2009 it was the 11th time the title Chief Architect of the Year had been conferred. This year the prize went to of Edina Csík, chief architect of Budaörs, whilst the Chief Architects’ Oeuvre Award was given to Bernát Boruzs and Imre Makovecz.
