Reconstruction of Sonnenberg House on Civilian Initiative

As of today, it is a curiosity to see a residential community which votes for a high-standard reconstruction of a historic building, as it is a lot more costly, and requires more complex preparations and execution as well. What is actually a reliable sign of a unique community is that it is ready to face this challenge even though their beloved dwelling house is not a protected historic building. The idea to renew this beautiful Art Nouveau-style house was first conceived by a married couple living here, as the majority of the original architectural values of the house had been destroyed or transformed and converted meanwhile. Tenants of the building launched a foundation to provide financial means for the reconstruction project.
