The Exhibition of the Association of Hungarian Architects in the Castle Gardens Bazaar
August 29th – September 9th, 2018

Hungary’s rich and eventful history has left a highly versatile and unique architectural heritage for the present generation, and – if we take due care of it – also for the future generations. Thus it is important from more than just one aspect to survey it from time to time, to see how the salvation of both the capital’s sights and the historic monuments of the countryside is going on. To make them public and well-known is a task for not only the professionals in the narrowest sense of the word, but also for the wider general public interested in and understanding our history. The examples exhibited now simultaneously present the healthy equilibrium between responsible preservation and versatile utilization. At the same time, it may encourage the tourists, both Hungarians and foreigners, who are interested in the topic, to make a tour of the historic courses in Hungary again and again, to visit its heritage sights and values, and thus experience the greatest and most influential periods of Hungarian history in exhibition rooms equipped with state-of-the-art 21st-century technologies.
