The exhibition titled SOS Brutalismus in Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) (see in MÉ volume 2018/1) has moved closer to us after Frankfurt and can be seen now in Architekturzentrum Wien. These are the apropos of which we decided to present this selection in more details, as the Hungarian audience has the chance to visit the exhibition because of its proximity. In the past ten or so years this segment of post-war architecture came into focus, and more and more exhibitions have presented certain aspects of brutalism, not only in England: AzW itself has also been engaged in this topic. Besides focussing on the theoretical aspect of this architectural trend, the exhibition of DAM also targeted to draw attention and to protect our heritage from a communal view, as is shown in the title. The starting point was the social attention already existing in social network sites and media, as well as the collected „memories” of it. The exhibition coming from Frankfurt is made complete with a catalogue, and the Viennese architectural centre used this occasion to present Austrian brutalist style architecture in a more complex way.
