Media Architectural Prize 2020
Organized by Építészfórum, on February 20th, it was the 16th time that Media Architectural Prize awards ceremony was held to recognize this year’s most outstanding works of architecture. Due to the pandemic, the event was online streamed from the venue, Trafó Contemporary Arts House. Founded by Építészfórum, the Media Architectural Prize is unique for the fact that the decision of the jury is made in front of the wider public. This year was also extraordinary as the event was forced within the framework of online streaming. The prize for the best building went to a detached family house in Üllő designed by Konkrét Stúdió, whilst the winner of the Design category was the Landscape Restoration Centre designed by Hunor Albert Szántó. The public award went to PJ House in Cluj Napoca (designed by Miklós Péterffy), and to the designs by Csenge Györgyi and Bálint Iszak for the Icelandic Volcano Museum.
