The house is a re-imagining of a former holiday home built on a sloping plot, with significant structural modifications and yet retaining its spatial logic. The floor plan immediately reveals the two-way opening of the levels. These floors connect with the environment in a way that is true to their nature: the basement is directly connected to the front garden, while the „ground floor” is more frequently connected to the balcony, with the only communication to the courtyard located along the rear façade. The attic is the location of the private spaces, so access to the outdoors is provided by balconies hidden beneath the roof, which offers a more sheltered position. The basement thus has an openly social, hidden service function: a large lounge, a bar hidden in a built-in cupboard, a fireplace, and a terrace connection, thus functioning as an enclave of the open-air kitchen-dining room-pool complex. Inside, moving up from the garden level, the quality of the materials used becomes increasingly refined, reflecting the elegant family intimacy defined by the building’s functional layout. The uniqueness and details experienced here have led to an extraordinary result.
