Regenerative future
Space10 application

Space10, IKEA’s creative lab, closed its doors this year after almost 10 years of operation. The innovation lab has been active in a wide range of activities, involving the general public. One of their latest proposals was called Regenerative Futures. In the competition, participants were asked to imagine their immediate environment, their place of residence, in a future scenario. What would the future-proof buildings look like and how would they function? The competition explicitly asked applicants to use artificial intelligence to visualise this. They also had to show the original environment in which they currently live. The nearly 250 entries received were selected by a jury of renowned architects.
