When a metropolis grows beyond people, the demand to build a city within a city is phrased. It creates an independent space for living in the fabric of the city with a change of scales and dimensions, and thus the need to construct a city within a city is born. It creates an independent space of living in the fabric of the city with typical changes of scales and proportions in which the functional characteristics of the city evolve though a filter tailored to meet local requirements. Within the super block several buildings or urban blocks are contained, amongst which a space and road system of differentiated standards is being born with a reduced intensity of traffic, with the total or partial exclusion of motor vehicles. The block is primarily a residential one but its functional composition is far from being a formula, it is a system of complementary units adjusting to the urban situation that operates both inward and outward.
