17th Venice International Biennale of Architecture

One of the most important events of the Venice Architecture Biennale is the presentation of the Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award. This year, at the suggestion of the Biennale’s chief curator, Hashim Sarkis, Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, theorist and critic, received the award. The “in memoriam” version of the award pays homage to the work of Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi.
