FUGA, 12. 01. 2023.

On 1 December, the results of the Budapest Architectural Award 2023 competition were announced and the awards ceremony took place at the FUGA. The aim of the competition is to promote the creation of new values, the preservation of traditional values, the development of architectural and environmental culture, to recognise and promote architectural works that shape the cityscape, and to showcase the exemplary cooperation of the participants in the ambitiously designed and created works in order to encourage further high-quality, innovative investments. The competition was open to works for which the occupation permit became valid or was granted between 1 July 2020 and 2 July 2023. This year’s Budapest Architecture Award of Excellence went to the new building of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Semmelweis University. The award also went to the H151 dwelling-house in Veszprém, the Bástya Street public park, the Drechsler Palace, a villa in Sasad and the renovation of the central and southern stations of the M3 metro line.
