The Hungarian office of WorldQuant was designed by architects from Minusplus to reflect the profile and the philosophy of the company: it is logical, transparent and complex, open to the world. The starting point for the concept was that the activities of the staff require different communicational situations: two large office rooms that can be opened into one had to be completed with conference rooms with various seating capacities that are transparent from the corridors and also receive natural light from outdoors in that direction, but voices and the data appearing on the screens cannot get outside. By reviewing the complexity of relations, the task was then to create a well-structured and transparent structure which is open. The concept of interior design by Minusplus was based on the architectural manifestation of the company’s global and quantitative genes regarding the forms of both the communication and work spaces. The entrance reception area leads on to a corridor branching off in various directions to take us to the individual rooms, the lateral walls are partly wainscoted with a light colour palette, partly formed by glass partitions clad in foil in the conference rooms that appear like boxes in space. Wall-to-wall carpets, the furniture and the wall panels with acoustic functions change their palettes and images from room to room.
