On the Memorial Exhibition of György Jánossy

Spectacular as a quality is inseparable from the modern constructive way of thinking. It is also proven by drawings by György Jánossy exhibited in HAP Gallery that appear to be quite fresh even today. Most of them are abstract representations of a world of tension just about to take shape in which sometimes the spirit world also leaves its marks behind. Here it appears as winding mazes, there as towns covered with ponyva on the cartoons slightly yellowed with age. Why would not we recognize them? Like still lives by Picasso or Fernand Léger, these graphics also play the ancient game of the ’sculpturesque image’, the enlivening plane or the ancient space trapped, These drawings and designs are witnesses of events beyond time.
