Based in Nyíregyháza, Nzrt-Trade Ltd is a member of Bige Holding Group as a supplier of artificial fertilizers in the agricultural regions in Eastern Hungary. Its new office center has been implemented by transforming and reinterpreting the old headquarters after designs by Nartarchitects. The former office building of the company nestles under the new attire as the local belongingness of the building has been preserved intact, but it has also undergone a change to be updated and have a new face with features that reflect characteristics of contemporary architecture. Designers have kept the frame structure, whilst pulling down the walls dividing exteriors and interiors. As a result, the new interior features a design roughly following the architecture of the frame. The building appears transparent from every level and each square metre of its interior space is permeated by light. Extension in this case meant building an additional storey to cover the entire floor area of the horizontal plan, which in turn completes the reinforced concrete frame with its steel-structure frame so that the blocks with various functions make the upper mass of the building appear to be dynamic. A kind of playful treatment of the various levels as well as the integrity of transparent and solid surfaces lend the facade a genuinely exciting character. The glass curtain expanse of the facade was spiced up with fixed vertical bands to harmonize with the palette of the stone facework which in turn integrates the entire building. Enriched with high-standard technological solutions and quality details, the result thus spectacularly represents the company itself.
