The Association of Hungarian Hikers Naturalists has decided to revitalize the entire length of the blue-sign tour and a flagship of this decision is the tourist centre located in Galyatető.
Hiding in the shade of the hotel, this small single-storey house was built as a kind of great of temporary building for the hotel construction, but has been turned into a central component of the new centre as a kind of „found object”. The regular cube of the former building mass is easy to identify now as it defines the overall impression with its palette of greyish-brownish andesite quarried in the Mátra Hills. Alongside with rubble, concrete and anthracite metal sheets strikingly harmonize. Free formation impresses us here as a rarely experienced freshness. The ground-floor is defined by the spaciousness of the community area, its is closed to the inside and opens up with large surface opening towards the courtile. Its interior architecture is simple, puritanesque, dominated by the warmth of pine-wood. The carefulness of designers’ approach is visible on every single detail. The complex evolves in its entirety
