A drop of water along the Lake Tisza. A white building wrapped around by ramps. Árpád Ferdinánd and Csaba Ferdinánd designed the first bike centre of Hungary to be built here on the margins of Tiszafüred. The option was open and they did their best to think daringly and functionally. The surroundings of Lake Tisza and Hortobágy is excellent for biking, and natural sights offer a variety of experience to active tourists passing here. This is why it seemed like a practical idea to develop bikers’ tourism here in the region. As a result, they started to construct a system of bike paths in this very spirit, which then would evolve into a continuous network offering a variety of routes to freely choose from. The system to be built here would be completed with service components never applied before in Hungary to offer complex services to facilitate biking tourists. The unique drop-like horizontal plan was inspired by the shape of the construction site on which three levels are going to be built along with a variety of service units. The building does not reflect to its environment: it ambitions to become an outstanding station of tourism encouraging people to stop over here, and has no wish of whatsoever to nestle into its suburban milieu which is far from being a characteristic one anyway.
