The Space of Architecture

The Association of Hungarian Architects is inviting tenders of students, as well as DLA and sudents from every higher educational institution in Hungary majoring and/or specialized in architecture, landscape design, resettlement engineers, industrial and product design in a nationwide open and secret competition.

Land Art Workshop

This spring the creative days organized by the workshop group within Sopron-based AMI focussed on issues of land art. The majority of participants were students with AMI, but they also arrived from Budapest Technical University, the Hungarian University of Art and MOME. The first two days of the three-day programme were those of lectures, whilst on the third day work was done in the forest.

Rethink of Spaces

The Hungarian National Gallery published an open design tender for students professionally assisted by the Department of Public Design (Faculty of Architecture, Budapest of Technology and Economics) inviting designs for the entrance of Building „A” and its surroundings including their architectural reconstruction and interior design.

Árpád Wellness

The revolution of hygiene reached Székesfehérvár in 1905, and the last day of the year saw the inauguration of the medical bath based on local spring water. Designed by Jenő Hübner, the Art Nouveau-style Árpád Baths was extended with a hotel in the 1920s from the direction of Várkörút and after World War II a 25-metre swimming-pool also completed the complex.

An Issue of Destiny

As far as its mass formation is concerned, the Community House in Nagybajom is not a reduction a single-principled public building, but the result of an addition which may be regarded accidental. Other kinds of mass relations, different types of roofing, terraces and roof terraces built at other points are also imagineable.
