A futurizmus eretneksége a fin du siécle szimbolista-szecessziós művészetvallásával szemben mindenekelőtt abban nyilvánult meg, hogy az élet (…) saját formáinak, saját esztétikai értékeinek nevében és jegyében tagadta az élettel szembeállított és ezáltal „öröknek” nyilvánított művészet „muzeális értékekből”, „klasszikus értékekből” képzett másvilágának létezését.

This, though, must comply with a complex set of aesthetic, ecological, social and economic criteria.
Horace Walpole and Strawberry Hill
This exhibition looks at Horace Walpole’s extraordinary collection and evokes the magnificent interiors of his house, Strawberry Hill, Britain’s finest example of Georgian Gothic Revival architecture. An influential historian, collector, social commentator and man of letters, Walpole (1717–97) was the youngest son of Sir Robert Walpole, Britain’s first Prime Minister.
Flowers for Kim Il Sung
The exhibition offers for the first time insight into the contemporary art, poster production and architecture of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which hitherto was mostly not on show in international exhibitions. The exhibition in the MAK was prepared in cooperation with the Korean Art Gallery and the Paektusan Academy of Architecture.

Depero the Futurist
The year 2009 marked the 100th anniversary of Futurism, with a number of Futurist exhibitions held in various countries. Over the past twenty years there has been growing interest in the art of versatile Futurist painter Fortunato Depero (1892-1960), an ardent follower of Marinetti’s aesthetics.
