Text: Kornél Almássy dr.
The Hungarian Architecture Museum and Historic Monuments Heritage Documentation Centre is a unique cultural institution. On the one hand, its primary task is to survey Hungarian and international architectural heritage as a museum, on the other hand being a documentation and archive centre it is to deal with images, photos, documents, designs and plans of the past 150 years of Hungarian historic architectural heritage and also to make them available for research. The digitization archievements of the previous years have been far exceeded by the institution in processing the collection with digital means. The digitization of the Science Archives materials dating from 1902 –1921 has also been completed. During last year several highly successful digital exhibitions have been installed by the staff of the museum who also survey activities of the museum on a regular basis at conferences, museum visits organised by them also covering the specialities of the collections and the most recent research of historic monuments and topographical surveys. One of the most significant achievements of the institution was the design contest titled „Építészet Ligete” (the Parkland of Architecture) project in 2021.
