Family House, Brennbergbánya

At the beginning of 2020, a family of six members have taken possession of their home designed by PRTZN architects in Brennbergbánya. The house was a result of a long-term process of thinking, as the clients, a couple contacted the architects in 2016. It was a priority since the very beginning of the design stage that they wanted to live in a house which can adapt to the changes of their life in the future. To find a solution to this issue, not only an architectural concept but also a special designer’s attitude was needed: this task involved creating a system of rules by which both the design and the completed building turn easy to modify for the users. Hereby we are presenting the evolution of thus system of rules, the conditions and operations and we also make an attempt to make an assessment of all this.
