Although the values of contemporary architecture tend to remain invisible or alien to the wide public, the office block in Medve Street is sure to attract the attention of passers-by. This pile of container-size glass boxes probably reminds the non-professionals of children’s toys made of lego or wooden bricks rather than of any work of contemporary architecture known before. People often travelling abroad may have the impression they are in Vienna or the Netherlands. However, this house is far from being disturbing or alien. The tandem of architects, Katalin Csillag and Zsolt Gunther designed a sophisticated and smart building here which is simultaneously in its place in Víziváros (a district in the Buda-side of Budapest) and another context, the spiritual medium of contemporary architecture.
