MÉSZ-MÉK Diploma Award 2022

The location of the diploma project is Lipót, a small village of 716 people in Szigetköz. The planned building is located directly on the shore of the crescent-shaped lake, thus forming a kind of boundary between the human-inhabited area and the protected nature reserve on the waterfront. The chosen function is also in line with this: a biological research and education center that provides opportunities for the work of specialists and educational activities, and also introduces the backwater to visitors. In addition to research, the institution would also serve educational purposes for all age groups. In the lakeside building, local schoolchildren would also have the opportunity to learn about nature and experience the wonders of Szigetköz.
