The Architects’ Place — The Space of Architecture
György Szegő conversing with Attila Turi, Architect and President of MMA
Attila Turi, as the new president of MMA (the Hungarian Academy of Arts) and an architect, gave an interview to Hungarian Architecture informing our readers on three issues. Firstly, he spoke about the
responsibility of the Hungarian Academy of Arts to recognise and implement the social acceptance of architecture as a branch of art. The organisation has the task of helping to establish creative links
with the other associated arts. The second topic was the impact of the law on public investment and the soon-to-belaunched Hungarian Museum of Architecture — both of which he expects to bring about the essential socialisation of architecture. The third topic of the discussion was Attila Turi’s new library building at the National Library of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, which we publish as attached to the building presentation in the Theme („Téma”) column.
