This year the Hungarian Academy of Arts once again awarded outstanding figures of intellectual life in Hungary, who have shown a unique oeuvre in the field of art, art theory, art organisation and art administration. Each year each section of the Academy awards prizes to two or three individuals, one of which traditionally recognises the careers and achievements of artists and professionals from abroad. The Hungarian Academy of Arts Architecture Prize was now awarded to architects Gábor Farkas and Katalin Murádin, while the Arts and Design Prize was awarded to interior designer Rózsa Csavarga and tapestry artist Judit Nagy.
