FUGA, 05.12.2024.

On December 5th, the results of the Budapest Architectural Award 2024 competition were announced and the awards were then presented at the FUGA. The aim of this competition is to recognise and publicise the most outstanding works of architecture that shape the cityscape. Of the 18 entries received for the 2024 competition, the jury looked at nine sites. In addition to the awards ceremony, an exhibition of all the entries received were on display at the FUGA. This year, the jury again rewarded outstanding ideas and concepts that are worthy of the city’s past, define its present and provide a response to the challenges of the future. The Budapest Architectural Excellence Award was awarded to the Library and Student Centre of the Budapest University of Economics and Business, designed by Péter Gereben and Balázs Marián (Gereben Marián Architects).
