Young Architects in Black and White 2021

The programme was initiated by Gábor Reischl, formerly chairman of the Association of Hungarian Architects and launched in 2006, and is actually the 8th edition of the biannual programme. Applicants of this contest were professionals under the age of 40 with a degree acquired in Hungary in architecture. The project targeted to survey the best achievements of young Hungarian architects and to present how they cooperate, keep up traditions and make their own contributions to the character of the site, location or community and their associations with cultural life. Of the 41 entries submitted to the contest, the jury evaluated 25 as winning ones, and five of them have been rated as excellent. When assessing the projects, wide range was another important consideration of the survey besides the high standards of architecture.
