Pál Csonka Memorial Medal 2013
Founded by the Association of Hungarian Architects, the Pál Csonka memorial medal has been awarded since 1988 in memory and honour of the internationally famous scientist who was also the master trainer of several generations of architects. This recognition is meant to acknowledge the creative cooperation of architect-designers and structure designers. Those are eligible for it who have produced outstanding high-standard architectural works as a duo of creative professionals and also contributed significantly and verifiably to the achievement of this basic goal with their work as educators and/or scientists. This year the prize-giving ceremony was held on July 8th in the Architects’ House. The memorial medal now went to Tamás János Szabó architect and János Volkai architect-structure designer in the duo category, and to Dr. Miklós Armuth architect in the individual category.
