The book edited by Balázs Halmos and Katalin Marótzy presents the results of the 13 year long research at the St. Michael Cathedral in Gyulafehérvár made by students of the Department for History of Architecture and of Monuments at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The book is not just important because of the complex and profound research achieved by the students, but it underlines the department’s opinion that the role of the hand-drawn architectural study is at least as important as it was in the periods prior the photography and digital recording.
