In 1989, during the very first momentum of the change of the political system Touring School was founded on the initiative of Imre Makovecz to start it as a post-gradual organisation training architects under the aegis of Károly Kós Association. This training has evolved into a significant intellectual trend since then with importance for Hungarian culture in the framework of which several – actually, more than a hundred – young Hungarian architects and joining them also some foreign ones toured all the architects’ teams belonging to the Association to get to know organic architecture, both its theoretical and practical expertise, know-how, as well as Hungary and the traditional culture of architecture. This was a long and highly wide-ranging story the characters and plot of which is presented in the volume which has just been published. This book also covers the various stages of its evolution, inspiring atmosphere.
